I can say that the Compare Suite Standard has sufficient functionality for most tasks of datcenter administrator. However there’s not enough documentation for Compare Suite Standard Edition for the results of comparison. It makes additional difficulties to integrate your product into a single software environment. It would be useful to have access to objects of automation (COM).

Your product have functional enough for our purposes. We use your product as a command-line as in GUI mode. Sometimes your product detects differences in identical files. Apparently this is due to the different attributes that Windows not considered significant. This feature of your product we use for tracking an unscheduled file access and improve security. I would like to be able to fine-tune the structure of the report on the comparison directory. Also I would like to be able to configure ERRORLEVEL value when using the command line, depending on the type of differences.

Firstly I’d like to emphasize that:
1. I have only a short time experience with the free “Light” version.
2. I’m seriously visually impaired (using screen enlargement) but I’ve found the “Light” version very helpful and therefore a “Standard” version seems to be very promising.
I’ve found “Light” version very easy to use (simply “plug and play”) without careful reading a Manual. Obviously more complex “Standard” version would require more careful manual reading to use all available possibilities. Identification of differences between texts was easy and fast even for me as a visually impaired due to perfect highlighting. It was helpful also to discover minor e.g. random typing errors when upgrading a document.

Compare Suite is useful application:
Comparing various Word, PDF, HTML documents for differences in versions. I also have a few apps that require a comparison tool to be used to tell differences between document versions.
It proves to be a very useful application when I am looking through hundreds of documents that can span many months or even years of age. Compare Suite makes the work all that much easier and much more efficient and neat. I can’t imagine there is another piece of software out there that can do what Compare suite does so excellently. I convert a PDF phone and address listing to text only and then I compare the previous year’s list to the new one to add on new listings and update information for our mailing list.
Compare Suite for easy comparison:
It’s the best one I have found so far. I only need to use it once a year though. It is effective in telling me what has changed, been removed or added from the prevoius year’s listing. This way I can keep the mailing up to date. We send out many advertising type mailings throughout the year.
I find the standard version works the best and is extremely accurate. I use the unfold option so I can compare the two columns and see extactly how something has changed.

Compare Suite as a helpful tool to find differences:
The coloring system is a helpful tool to identify the added, deleted, modified changes between two file. However, it would be tremendously helpful if the comparison can line up the header with the data to truly distinguish the differences location. As of now, I have to trace character by character. I ended up doing the comparison in Microsoft Excel to get better location of the differences. The report is not printable. The display on the report does wrap when the texts were long. It is extremely inconvenience to view the differences.

Compare PDF easy to use:
Compare PDF has been very well thought out and is an extremely easy product to use. It’s one of these “does exactly what it says on the tin” type products.
Compare PDF as a time saver:
The PDF comparison is excellent, as well as using the GUI to run comparisons, you have the ability to use the Integration manager to build a command line which can then be added to a batch file for full automation of the process.
For me it’s an indispensable tool and a huge time saver.

Compare PDF as time saver:
We are comparing newly prepared legal documents in a series of similar transactions to the legal documents of the most recently completed transaction to save reading of almost 100 pages each time.
Opinion about Compare PDF:
The software works extremely well. However, it is not clear what the different colors used to highlight the transactions mean. Sometimes the highlighted change is simply that the text move to the next line or the prior line and this should be signified in a way that distinguishes it from more important changes.
