Use ignore words feature in Compare Suite to get the most accurate results
Comparison of files and folders may appear to be not as easy as you pictured it to yourself. Well, if you mean comparison of 2 small text files then this can be really easy. But what if your desktop is piled up with documents and folders that needs to be analyzed, i.e. compared and contrasted. Moreover, you may need to use comparison results in your further work. In other word, you cannot work further until you compare all the files in a certain directory.

Depending on the files you need to compare and your requirements you may use one of the three comparison methods: word by word, char by char and comparison by keyword. Each method has its advantages and drawbacks and serves particular purposes.
Sometimes, it happens that you want to ignore certain words or lines in order not to pay attention to them. For instance, imagine that you are comparing two documents where the word “agreement” has been replaced with “contract”. Such a change is not important to you as this is a formal amendment. So, you add the words contract and agreement to the list of ignored words and Compare Suite marks them as ignored (yellow color by default).
Ignoring feature will save your time as you do not need to pay attention to ignored words, focusing only on changes you are interested in. Besides, ignored words and lines are not included to the overall comparison statistics.
In order to enter ignored words you need to go to Tools-Options-Ignoring and load either a srting of ignored words or enter them by yourself.
