AKS-Labs has released v 1.0 of Compare Suite a Windows 98/95/XP/2000/ME/NT file and folder comparison tool with merge and reporting abilities.

Compare Suite is a tool to compare office documents and generate comparative report.  Compare Suite allows to compare files and highlight found differences, which include new, modified or deleted words.

Those who deal with office documents can compare Microsoft Word (.doc) and Microsoft Excel (.xls) files, Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) documents as well as web page (.htm).

Compare Suite is also useful for webmasters and programmers as it can compare binary files, plain text and .htm documents.

Comparison is especially useful when you need to know about changes of two documents that have a common ancestor. Compare Suite tells what changes were made and provides you with affective mean to audit documents. You can apply or decline changes, edit compared files.

Another task is changes monitoring. For example executives who want to monitor competitors’ web sites in order to learn changes of strategy can use Compare Suite to get easy readable report with highlighted modifications of web pages.

The results of comparison can be saved to comparative report, which contains number of found changed and modified lines together with comparison details. You can store this report or send it by e-mail to your co-worker for further analysis.
