Interwoven WorkSite is a document management platform. Its basic ideology
was to build a system around the Microsoft technologies—COM, ASP,. NET. This
functionality enables a user to fully capitalize and utilize his existing
investments in Microsoft-based applications. Thus it proves to be highly
cost effective. The foundation for the solution is the ‘WorkSite Server’. It
also provides a platform that supports teams bound by geographical borders,
where they can create content, and hence collaborate with one-another to
carry out business-critical activities.

Two versions are available:This system is tailor-made for Windows NT. It makes use of the existing
Microsoft infrastructure.
The Interwoven WorkSite—MP: A multi-platform, core Java-based solution. It
is J2EE compliant as well. Also runs equally effectively on a variety of
platforms including NT, Unix, Microsoft, Windows 2000, Solaris and Linux.

Version Compare:
- Records Retention: the system posses the ability to declare items such as
user documents and apply retention rules. These rules further govern the
retention and disposition of the previously identified items
- Offline Mode: This module enables the users to add and edit content such as
documents, discussion threads, workspaces – even when one is not in contact
with the repository. It also includes conflict resolution.
