Compare Suite solution includes ability to compare two files

 

Why compare files?

There are several reasons why you may wish to compare two files.

 

1) Compare to find out if the document changed. (See how to monitor competitor's web-site with Compare Suite);

2) Compare and find out what modifications were made. 

3) Make document audit -- compare your file with some other's and make some modification to get the result document.

4) Compare two files and get easy to read report (Compare Microsoft Word .doc files, Compare PDF files).

 

Suggested solutions

Compare Two files.Compare Two files.

Run Compare Suite. Select "New File Comparison" in "File" menu. Specify the name of older file on the left compare panel, specify the name of another file on the right compare panel.

 

Compare Suite will compare two file automatically. 

 

Sample:

Run Compare Suite. Select "New File Comparison" in "File" menu. On the left panel select compare_suite_0_9.txt file from Compare Suite's directory (see Samples folder) and on the right compare_suite_1_0.txt file from the same directory.

Can I do it easily?

Drag-and-drop files you want to compare on Compare Suite's icons on your desktop. Select two files and then drag-and-drop them on icon.

If you are working with plain text files you can freely edit them and make document audit.

 

You can edit text as you usually do it in text editor.

 

Note: if you made some mistake then you can use Undo command.

 

Can I do it easily?

You can right-click on found difference and to get Audit Menu. There you can select Apply, Insert, Delete command to work with changed parts instead of working words.

Why generate report?

This is the way you can keep changes history. This is the way you can share found changes and your comments about those changes with your co-workers.

 

Generating report.

Run Compare Suite. Compare two files as is described above. Select Report submenu in File menu. Select Standard report command. Save generated comparison report to disk.

Can I do it easily?

Instead of selecting command in menu click F6 button.
