Compare or contrast html files. Compare
Web pages as a text or compare web pages as a .htm files with a set of html
tags.
With
Compare Suite you can match any web page or .htm file. This means
that you can do comparison in both ways - contrast web pages
represented as text, or compare web pages as a set of html tags. The
main reason to match web pages is to find and to analyze changes
that were made on this web-site. Best solution is comparing of page's
content, but not htm tags within page. Chose solution that fits
your needs. Decide first why you need to compare .htm files or other
document. If you are web-master and need to know details about all
html tags or you need to collect text information fast and stay
informed only about text of main tags.
Why
need comparing web pages?
As
we use comparison to find changes that were made in document, then
comparison of web-pages is for the same reason. Once
you've visited some web-page you can save the page to your hard disk
and compare with previous version of the same page. The result of
comparison is the idea about what was changed and what was added and
what was deleted. Analyze
this data to find out what author of web page was doing with his
article, idea or business. Known
solutions
As
another comparison process this involve comparing of files and most of
comparison programs suggest to compare not a text of web-page, but htm
tags with "<p>", "<href..." and
other. This
is useful when you are webmaster and want to find all the changes that
were made. But main idea of comparing of web-page is to find out
changes that were made in content but not in document's structure. When
comparing .htm file you need information about changes that were made
in document structure, i.e. column's color or size was changed or
other, that you can freely use any compare tool. When
comparing .htm file you want to get information about content changes
and about changes of some important tags (such as image ALT tag) or .htm
link, then you should use product allows to compare web pages as a
text.

not a comparison of two web-pages but a comparison of two documents,
written in HyperText Markup Language (.html). It's useful if you are
web-master. I
select Options command in Tools menu. Go to Plug-ins -> Html tab
and check off the "Converter enabled" check box. I click
