Comparing or synchronizing contents of two folders

Why compare two folders? This feature of Compare Suite allows to find out if there are some new files within folder, what information was changed and deleted. Comparative report for folders makes it easy to scan all differences found in folder.

There are many reasons for comparing or synchronizing the contents of two folders. Perhaps you want to compare current project state with a previous state, or compare a newly installed program with a previous installation, or perhaps you're moving files between two computers. You could open each folder in an Explorer window and compare the files one by one, but this approach is prone to error.

Compare Suite lets you compare and synchronize folders easily. It displays two folders side by side and highlights the differences using special colors and graphics. You can then use this information to decide what files to copy, move, or delete. More over you can click on the files to compare them and get precise information what changes were made. Network support lets you compare folders on different computers. Compare map displays files that are alike, different, newer, or older than their counterparts in the other folder.

There are two types of folder comparison report available in Compare Suite. The most simple is Full report that contains information only about changed files and shows only changes (not whole file text). Advanced report includes full file texts and changes highlighted.
