What is the point of using Compare Suite with version control software? Version control systems introduce a check-in and check-out model in which an individual developer checks out a file, makes changes, and then checks the file back in. Other developers typically are not able to make changes to a file while it is checked out.
So I mean there is really no need to locate any modifications because there aren’t supposed to be any unaccounted changes. |

You’re right. But what if you need to find all the changes that were made? I mean you know there are some, but which and where?
Compare Suite gives an opportunity to quickly locate all the changes made and return to the previous version of the document if needed. Also you can write short comprehensive comments to the changes found – it’s easier to put some reasonable comments if you have changes highlighted.
You may want to read an article about using Compare Suite with version control software. |
