I'm having a problem comparing folders with many subfolders, containing excel files. After a while, dozens of Excel processes accumulate in memory, each using about 8+ megs of ram. I just counted, and after a compare run was completed, there are still 70+ instances of excel in memory.
Is this normal? I have Excel 2003 installed, if that matters. |

Hello,
If you mean that Compare Suite slows down your system when comparing folders, we haven’t heard about this before, comparing process is quite fast. The important thing about comparing is that CS gives you the RIGHT comparing of files/folders and the quantity of Excel extracts kept in memory is not that important. Although there could be some inconveniences. If you have any more issues with using CS in the future please feel free to post them here.
Best regards, |

My issue is that, when comparing many excel files, Compare Suite is leaving many instances of excel.exe in memory. I can see these by examining the runnin processes in task manager.
This makes it impractical to compare a substantial amount of excel files, say 50+. |

Dear sir,
Thank you for problem submission. Sometimes Compare Suite may keep instances of Excel file in memory and this may slow down the system when comparing many or extra large Excel files. We will fix this problem in the next version of Compare Suite. But still you get correct file comparison.
If you have any more issues with using CS please feel free to post them here. |
